Trichy police dismantle methamphetamine network targeting students
Trichy police have dismantled a methamphetamine distribution network targeting college students, arresting three suspects and seizing drugs worth Rs 1 lakh. The operation revealed a sophisticated system using digital payments and GPS for drug delivery. The arrested individuals, aged 21 to 25, were found with 25 grams of methamphetamine packaged in individual sachets. The gang sourced the drugs from a Bengaluru contact under the direction of a Singapore-based leader. Police investigations indicate that methamphetamine has been present in Trichy for the past year. Authorities are now pursuing 20 additional suspects linked to the trafficking network.
