Telco Services Australia paid no corporate tax for two years despite Centrelink contract

Call centre operator Telco Services Australia, which has a major Centrelink contract, paid no corporate tax in the 2024-25 and 2023-24 financial years. The company generated over $185 million in revenue in 2024-25 and $130 million the previous year, reporting no taxable income in either period. This coincides with its multi-year contract worth over $90 million for Services Australia call centre operations. An analyst suggested the company's structure may be designed to avoid Australian tax obligations, while a company spokesperson stated that associated entities paid appropriate taxes, assessed by an independent auditor.
