Taylor Swift secures Official Chart Double with Showgirl and Patient Zero

Taylor Swift has secured the Official Chart Double as The Life Of A Showgirl returns to Number 1 on the UK albums chart and Patient Zero debuts atop the Official Singles Chart, marking her fifth distinct album-and-single pairing since 2022. Patient Zero becomes Swift's eighth UK Number 1 single and her third of 2026, following Opalite and I Knew It, I Knew You, making her the only artist with a hat-trick of chart-topping singles this year. The Life Of A Showgirl, released October 3 2025, is her second album to return to the top on its one-year anniversary, and it is her first to produce three UK Number 1 singles. Swift now boasts 14 UK Number 1 albums, the most of any female artist in Official Albums Chart history, with her first coming from Red in 2012. Fellow Encore tracks Cleveland and Babylon also debut in the Top 5, giving her three of this week's top singles.
