Tacloban prosecutors to charge 15-year-old in school shooting

Prosecutors in Tacloban City will file frustrated murder and attempted murder charges against a 15-year-old student for a June 22 school shooting that killed three and injured at least 20 others. The Department of Justice found the accused acted with discernment and in conspiracy with a second minor, a 14-year-old exempt from criminal liability. The charges include four counts of frustrated murder and six counts of attempted murder, with bail recommended at P72,000 and P36,000 per count respectively. Both suspects are in a DSWD rehabilitation facility. The 15-year-old also faces earlier murder and physical injury charges, while the gun's owner, a police sergeant and aunt of the 14-year-old, faces reckless imprudence charges.
