Student in critical condition with meningitis in Trikala, central Greece

A 19-year-old student in Trikala is in critical condition in intensive care with meningitis. The student, who traveled from Thessaloniki for Easter, was hospitalized Monday with severe headache and fever. He remains intubated in the ICU. Health authorities have administered preventative medication to about 40 healthcare workers who had contact with the student.
