Smart Creations clarifies copper sheets arrived for Sabarimala sculptures

Smart Creations, a company involved in gold plating work for Sabarimala, stated that they received copper sheets, not gold-plated ones, for the Dwara Palaka sculptures. They have informed the High Court about this. The company clarified that they do not accept previously gold-plated sheets for new work. They have been undertaking various works at Sabarimala since 2009, including gold plating of the Dwara Palaka sculptures in 2019, all based on High Court orders. The company's lawyer also confirmed that the delivered items were pure copper sheets. The High Court had previously noted in an order that the sculptures were gold-clad in 1999, based on documents submitted by the Chief Vigilance and Security Officer.
