Shakira and Burna Boy’s World Cup song “Dai Dai” was officially named Germany’s summer hit of 2026, beating Shirin David’s “Gut genug” and leaving the German production empty-handed. Market research firm GfK Entertainment, which compiles the official German charts, said the song has topped those charts for five weeks and been streamed nearly 60 million times in Germany. It praised the track’s blend of Afrobeats, dance-pop and reggaeton plus its viral choreography. The track was played at the World Cup’s opening ceremony and final halftime show. It follows 2025’s “Golden”; “Gut genug” had two weeks atop the charts in June but fell short.
