Russian modder builds custom DDR5 RAM module from salvaged parts

pcgameshardware.de (German)

A Russian modder built a custom DDR5 RAM module from salvaged parts, saving approximately 500 Euros. The modder sourced inexpensive DDR5 ICs and PCBs, reportedly from discarded laptops and online shops, to assemble a 32GB module for around 184 Euros. This DIY approach contrasts sharply with current market prices for similar modules. The custom module, flashed with ADATA firmware for XMP profiles, is currently undergoing testing. The modder plans to release a video detailing the process and results of his creation.
