Robati admits Brisbane sexual assault, avoids rape conviction

Former NRL player Teui Robati was found not guilty of rape but pleaded guilty to a separate charge of sexual assault on Wednesday. Robati, 23, was acquitted of two rape charges stemming from an incident at a pub in December 2022. Immediately following the verdict, he admitted guilt to sexually assaulting another woman in a separate event. The trial involved video evidence and focused on the issue of consent.
