Punggol East and Tebing Lane tenants get up to one-year lease extension
Four master tenants at Punggol East and Tebing Lane will receive lease extensions of up to one year, allowing businesses to potentially operate until end-2027. The move follows concerns over tenancy expiries and redevelopment timelines. Member of Parliament Yeo Wan Ling announced the extension on Saturday, following agency reviews that adjusted development timelines. The offer, subject to tenancy and regulatory requirements, aims to give businesses more time for transition planning and sub-tenant engagements, with agencies like SLA and JTC assisting in finding alternative premises. The extension comes after over 50 tenants at Punggol East container park were told to cease operations by Oct 31, ahead of the site's lease expiry. The wider Tebing Lane area is also slated for redevelopment, with several tenancies due to expire in 2026.
