Pune boy dies after leg trapped in lift door

A 12-year-old boy died after his leg became trapped in a lift door gap in Pune. The incident occurred between the third and fourth floors of a housing society. The boy was on his way to the fourth floor when his leg slipped through an old-style iron strip door. Residents alerted the fire brigade, who rescued the boy. He was taken to the hospital but later declared dead. Police are investigating the cause.
