Philippine delegate Asia Rose Simpson shines in 'Pandanggo sa Ilaw' at Miss World 2026

Philippine delegate Asia Rose Simpson performed the traditional Filipino folk dance "Pandanggo sa Ilaw" during the Dances of the World segment at Miss World 2026, showcasing her culture on the international stage. Simpson, who wore a traditional outfit for the dance, has already earned several achievements in the competition, including being named a Beauty with a Purpose finalist for Asia and Oceania and securing a Top 40 spot after winning the Asia & Oceania Head-to-Head Challenge. She also placed in the Top 3 of the pageant's talent competition. Simpson is competing for the Philippines' second Miss World title, following Megan Young's 2013 win, and currently ranks second in Missosology's Miss World 2026 Hot Picks behind Brazil's Gabriela Botelho.
