Phil Collins praises Taylor Swift as 'the hugest thing in the world'

Phil Collins praised Taylor Swift as deserving her massive success, calling her "the hugest thing in the world" in a BBC Radio 2 interview published Aug. 2. The 75-year-old Genesis drummer said Swift's song "White Horse" is among 10 tracks that soundtracked his life, first hearing it at a 2010 Songwriter's Hall of Fame ceremony where his daughter Lily introduced them. Collins, who nearly died from heavy drinking in 2024 and now requires 24-hour care, said Swift's simple guitar performance "blew me away completely" and that he's "always had a soft spot" for the song.
