Palmeiras recorded a deficit of R$ 124 million in the first half of 2026, driven mainly by the World Cup pause that reduced club revenues. The club's June financial report showed a negative result of R$ 58 million for the month, pushing the accumulated deficit to R$ 124 million, far exceeding the projected R$ 19 million. The main difference was in "miscellaneous income," covering Arena revenues and player negotiations, as no matches were played during the break. Under president Leila Pereira, Palmeiras had previously ended years with surpluses, including a record R$ 292.4 million in 2025. The board is prioritizing keeping key players, rejecting offers for Allan and Flaco López, despite a R$ 400 million sales target. The 2026 budget forecasts R$ 1.2 billion in revenue and an R$ 11.2 million surplus.
