North East maths teacher found guilty of misconduct after public nudity

A maths teacher has been found guilty of misconduct after being discovered naked in a public street. A teaching ban is now being considered. The teacher, who claimed to be a naturist, was spotted by two members of the public in a residential area before getting into his car. He accepted a police caution for a public order offense. The Teaching Regulation Agency panel upheld all allegations, ruling his behavior amounted to misconduct that could damage the profession's reputation. He previously served as deputy head of mathematics at Hetton Academy.
