New Hampshire child advocate Cassandra Sanchez to depart July 24

New Hampshire Child Advocate Cassandra Sanchez will leave her post July 24. She has been serving in a holdover capacity since January after Governor Ayotte declined to reappoint her. Sanchez must exit due to a state law limiting appointed officials to six months in holdover status. The governor's nominee for the role withdrew earlier this year. Assistant Child Advocate Jason Taylor is expected to take over as interim advocate. The governor's office has not commented on future nominations.
