The cast of "New Girl" will reunite at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on Oct. 10 to receive the Rising Phoenix Award, honoring the show's theme of starting over. The award will be presented to Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson, Lamorne Morris, Hannah Simone, and Damon Wayans Jr. The news follows Greenfield's July 31 statement that an official show reunion is in the works, with scripts he has seen described as "amazing." Greenfield will also host the gala, which benefits Chrysalis, a nonprofit helping people find work. The event will honor Jared Wolff with the Corporate Trailblazer Award. Chrysalis has served over 95,000 individuals since 1984, with nearly 2,200 clients securing employment in 2025.
