Network 10 to end broadcasts in parts of SA and NSW's Riverina from October 9

abc.net.au —

Network 10 will cease terrestrial broadcasting in parts of regional South Australia and New South Wales' Riverina on October 9, after WIN Network failed to reach a new agreement with the channel. WIN cited high transmission costs and declining advertising revenue as reasons for ending the service in Mount Gambier, the Riverland, Griffith, and the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. A three-month reprieve, during which Network 10 provided its feed free of charge, expired without a deal. Network 10 said viewers can still access its content online and via its app. The loss follows a similar dispute with Seven last year, and a 2024 shutdown in Mildura, Victoria. The government called it a commercial matter and noted ongoing support for broadcasters.
