Her mother, Nathalie Rousseau, said the husband holds the truth and has lost hope she is alive, though she still fears Manon may be held captive. Rousseau said Manon had reported domestic violence and sought help from an association. Her daughter Inaya is now with her paternal grandmother in Algeria; Rousseau stays in contact but misses watching her grow.
