Lebrun wins first round table tennis match in Las Vegas

French table tennis player Félix Lebrun narrowly defeated Japan's Shunsuke Togami in the first round of the Las Vegas Grand Smash. Lebrun, despite struggling, secured the victory. The 18-year-old Lebrun, ranked seventh in the world, won 3-2 (9-11, 11-8, 11-5, 4-11, 11-8) against Togami, ranked 25th. Lebrun recovered after losing the first set, ultimately winning the decisive fifth set. Lebrun, a bronze medalist from the Paris Olympics, will face either Aditya Sareen or Simon Gauzy in the next round. Gauzy also advanced in mixed doubles with Prithika Pavade.
