Kurt Angle jokes about missing The Shield after SummerSlam tribute

Kurt Angle, a former honorary member of The Shield, jokingly responded to Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins' tribute to the group at SummerSlam. He posted a doctored image of himself in Shield gear on X, saying "Shucks guys…..I miss you too." Angle became an honorary member in 2017, filling in for an ill Reigns at TLC alongside Rollins and Dean Ambrose. That match was in Minneapolis, the same city as this year's SummerSlam, where Reigns and Rollins honored Ambrose with his signature move and a fist bump. Jon Moxley, formerly Ambrose, has not commented on the tribute. The original Shield debuted in 2012 and broke up in 2014, with their final match together occurring in April 2019 before Ambrose left for AEW.
