KSRTC Driver Bids Emotional Farewell to Bus After 18 Years of Accident-Free Service

Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) driver Paul Kurian retired Tuesday after 18 years of accident-free service, emotionally bidding farewell to the bus he had driven for eight years on the Kumaly-Kambam route. Kurian performed a ritual circumambulation of the bus, touched its front, and kissed it before departing, a scene that moved onlookers to tears. He began his career as a private bus driver in Karnataka before joining KSRTC, where he was known for his punctuality and gentle demeanor. The driver, a native of Kumaly, is survived by his wife Susamma and children Anna and Ebin. His final duty was on an ordinary bus serving the Kumaly-Kambam route.
