Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar urged entrepreneurs on Wednesday to support Bengaluru's proposed tunnel road project, citing rising traffic and the need for new mobility solutions in the city. Shivakumar noted Bengaluru has around 1.4 crore vehicles and existing roads cannot be expanded sufficiently. He said the state is investing over Rs 1 lakh crore in the city's development, emphasizing that "time is money" and travel time must be reduced. The tunnel project, planned to connect Hebbal and Silk Board, faces opposition from BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, who has approached the Karnataka High Court. Shivakumar also encouraged women entrepreneurs to take leadership roles and support NPS expansion.
