Kanpur college students protest alleged faculty assault, vandalize property

Students at Maharana Pratap Engineering College in Kanpur protested and vandalized property after faculty allegedly beat students for arriving late. The incident occurred Wednesday morning when several students, delayed by dense fog, were reportedly physically assaulted by teachers. In response, students united, chanted slogans, and disrupted classes. College administration has suspended two teachers and formed an inquiry committee to investigate the alleged assault. Police were called to the scene.
