Kaleem Aftab resigns from Red Sea Film Festival

Kaleem Aftab has resigned as the international programming chief of Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Film Festival after four years. He played a significant role in establishing the festival, which aims to be a leading event in the region. Aftab was known for programming uncensored films from various regions, including the West, Asia, and Africa. His efforts included securing Spike Lee as the jury president last year. The festival has not disclosed the reason for Aftab's departure, which is believed to be related to family matters. Antoine Khalife will continue as the director of the Arab program. The fifth edition of the festival is scheduled for December 4-13.
