Japanese Idol's Stage Fall Goes Viral with 5 Million Views
A Japanese underground idol, Riona Amagi of the group Cherie!, has gone viral after a video of her falling hard on stage during a performance amassed over 5 million views. The clip, which she posted herself, has dramatically boosted her online profile. The fall occurred when Amagi lost her balance during a high-kick move, landing heavily on her back. She quickly got up and continued performing. She later shared photos of the incident, which also drew over 3.7 million views, and said she was unhurt aside from her elbow. Previously, Amagi's X account had only about 4,000 followers. The sudden attention helped her achieve her yearly goal of 10,000 likes on a post, which she called a personal milestone. Cherie! debuted in January 2026 and performs mainly in Tokyo live houses.
