Italy's heat wave lasts 10 more days; North sees storms, then African anticyclone returns

Italy's heat wave will persist for another ten days, reaching mid-August, despite temporary thunderstorms in the North, a meteorologist says. Lorenzo Tedici of iLMeteo.it warns the North may see intense storms, even in plains, from accumulated heat. These will briefly cool temperatures but not end the heat wave, as the African anticyclone will soon return with high heat before Ferragosto. The anticyclone has been dominating Italy's weather.
