Italy advances Strait of Messina Bridge construction with new decree

A decree to fast-track public works, including the Strait of Messina Bridge, has been approved by the Italian Chamber of Deputies. The decree updates the bridge's cost to 13.5 billion euros and establishes a streamlined approval process under the Ministry of Infrastructure. The legislation also addresses railway projects and safety measures for the Gran Sasso tunnel, though a proposal for beach concession extensions was excluded.
