Italian TV host pays for kitten's care after it was thrown against a gate

ilgazzettino.it (Italian) —

Italian TV host Francesca Fialdini paid the veterinary bills for a three-month-old kitten brutally thrown against a gate in San Donà di Piave, saving her life. The kitten, named Ninfa, is now out of danger. The kitten was rescued by Adas, a local animal protection association, after the violent attack. Fialdini offered to cover the most substantial portion of the medical costs after reading about the case, while the association funded initial emergency care through a public collection. Fialdini also requested to adopt Ninfa, but many candidates have come forward, leaving the choice to the volunteers. She urged public support for animal welfare, noting high summer abandonment rates, and Adas is planning a modular 1,200-square-meter shelter for stray cats called "Sfi-gatti."
