Himachal Pradesh to implement policy for outsourced employees, says CM Sukhu
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the state government will soon implement a policy to safeguard the interests of over 24,000 outsourced employees, providing long-awaited job security. The policy aims to address long-standing demands and prevent exploitation, with the highest number of outsourced appointments made during 2016-2017. Employees across departments like education, Jal Shakti, and PWD will be covered under the new framework. Sukhu also stated that over 10,000 teachers have been recruited, with 4,000 more to be appointed within six months. He alleged the previous BJP government left a debt burden of ₹76,000 crore and announced the 'Apna Parivar, Sukhi Parivar' scheme for this month.
