Himachal Pradesh braces for four days of severe weather, including thunderstorms and heavy rain

Himachal Pradesh faces a four-day spell of inclement weather starting today, with thunderstorms and rain expected. The Meteorological Centre Shimla has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain and winds up to 50 km/h. An orange alert is in effect for October 6th for Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, and Mandi districts due to the possibility of very heavy rainfall. Higher reaches of Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti may experience snowfall, leading to a drop in temperatures. Hailstorms are also possible in several districts on October 5th.
