Google's Pixel 12 Pro Fold to use Apple's crease-less display tech

Google's next foldable, the Pixel 12 Pro Fold, will reportedly use the same crease-less display technology as Apple's upcoming iPhone foldable, according to a new report. The Elec reports that Google, Oppo, and Vivo are working with Samsung Display to adopt dual-UTG (ultra-thin glass) displays, featuring one glass layer above the OLED panel and a second underneath. This technology aims to eliminate the visible crease that has affected Google's current Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Oppo and Vivo are expected to release their foldables in the first half of 2027, while Google's device is slated for the second half, likely in August. Samsung Display and partners will customize the display and glass assembly for each device.
