Germany promotes its World Heritage Sites

Germany celebrated World Heritage Day on Sunday, inviting the public to explore its 54 UNESCO World Heritage Sites through various events. The German UNESCO Commission organized the day, aiming to make these culturally and naturally significant locations accessible to everyone, with over 350 events planned across the country. The day's theme was "Convey, Connect, Enthuse." Events included tours and activities at sites like the Wadden Sea and Cologne Cathedral, highlighting the global importance of these protected areas, of which there are over 1,200 worldwide.
