rtbf.be (French)

The European Parliament and Council have agreed to ban AI tools that create non-consensual nude images. This measure aims to protect individuals from harmful AI-generated content. The ban is part of the "digital omnibus" legislative package. It specifically addresses AI chatbots like X's Grok, which have generated explicit images of real people, including minors, without consent. The new rules will take effect on December 2, 2027. High-risk AI systems will also see their implementation dates shifted to late 2027 and mid-2028.
