EU deploys 60 firefighters and two aircraft to Portugal to combat summer fires

The EU will deploy 60 firefighters and two aircraft to Portugal to assist in combating rural fires this summer. This deployment, part of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, aims to bolster national firefighting capabilities during the high-risk period between July and August.
