Early voting begins for over 218,000 voters in Portugal

Over 218,000 voters can cast their ballots early today for the next president, a week before the official election date. This early voting option is available to those who registered for it. Provisional data shows 218,481 registered voters in mainland Portugal, Azores, and Madeira are participating. Voters will see 14 names on the ballot, including those whose candidacies were rejected, from a field of 11 approved candidates.
