Diego Lopes Moves Up to Lightweight to Face Charles Oliveira for BMF Title at UFC 335
Diego Lopes will move up to lightweight to challenge Charles Oliveira for the BMF title in the main event of UFC 335 on December 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, as officially announced during the UFC 332 broadcast on Saturday. Oliveira makes his first defense of the BMF belt after defeating Max Holloway at UFC 326 in March, while Lopes enters the division following a knockout win over Steve Garcia at UFC Freedom 250. Oliveira previously pulled out of a fight with Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 331 due to the death of his teammate Allan Nascimento. The event also features Alex Pereira vs. Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event and Bo Nickal vs. Joe Pyfer. Lopes has twice challenged Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title, losing at UFC 314 and UFC 325.
