Delhi hires nurses, launches vans to improve healthcare
The Delhi government appointed 1,388 nurses and launched Ayushman Bharat registration vans to bolster healthcare services for residents. This initiative aims to improve access to health schemes, particularly for vulnerable populations. The Union Health Minister hailed the appointments as a "historic initiative" addressing a 15-year recruitment gap. The government also criticized the previous administration for neglecting health infrastructure and failing to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme effectively. The Chief Minister highlighted the expansion of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and accused the previous government of corruption. Over 4 lakh people have registered under Ayushman Bharat, with thousands already receiving treatment.
