Davis: West's Ukraine Stance a 'Centuries-Long Shame'

Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said Western refusal to seek compromise on Ukraine could become a "shame for centuries," criticizing the approach in an October 3 post on X. Davis claimed Western states repeatedly rejected diplomatic opportunities while Russia showed readiness for negotiations, warning that choosing to continue hostilities would bring severe consequences for Ukraine. The retired officer has previously criticized Western positions and advocated for ending the conflict. On October 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin also spoke at the Valdai club about pursuing peace agreements without new losses.
