Danish soldiers use shotguns for drone defense

20min.ch (German)

The military is issuing Benelli M4 shotguns to soldiers securing bases, primarily for close-range drone threats when other methods fail. This follows a recent acceleration in distribution after drone incidents. Previously used for animal control, these shotguns are now a response to drone threats, with conventional rifles deemed too risky for civilian safety. Denmark is also acquiring advanced anti-drone technology.
