Dakshina Kannada police arrested two for insulting minors

Two individuals were arrested in Dakshina Kannada on Saturday for allegedly insulting and filming two minors, sparking renewed concerns about moral policing. The accused confronted the minors, a boy and a girl, at Beeramale Betta, reportedly due to a perceived religious difference, and then posted a video of the abuse on social media. The police confirmed the minors were of the same religion. The father of the boy filed a complaint, accusing the men of attempting to incite communal tension. The police are investigating the incident under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
