Czech National Bank increases bank capital buffer to 1.5%

Czech National Bank raises bank capital buffer to 1.5%. The central bank cited strong lending, rising household and corporate debt, and increasing apartment prices as reasons for the increase, effective July 1, 2027. This move aims to maintain the resilience of the domestic banking sector amidst growing cyclical systemic risks.
