Chinese Entrepreneur Earns Rs 14 Lakh Monthly Charging Rs 4,200 for Scratching Sessions

A Chinese entrepreneur, Zhang Xiaoqiao, 32, has built a business in Shenzhen charging about Rs 4,200 per hour for professional itch-scratching sessions, earning nearly Rs 14 lakh monthly from two stores. Zhang opened his first Suma outlet in May and a second in June, offering one-hour sessions where trained staff use pointed nails to scratch customers on beds, aiming to promote relaxation and better sleep. The service attracts mostly men, with 70 percent of clients being male. Zhang developed his own scratching methods after being inspired by an online video last year, and both stores are now profitable. He plans to expand to 100 stores across China and establish itch-scratching as a recognized profession, following several previous unsuccessful business ventures.
