Caroline Lang, daughter of former French Culture Minister Jack Lang, described her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein as a friend, not an intimate. She spoke out on February 6, 2026, after resigning from a producer's union due to revelations about her ties to the convicted sex offender. Lang stated she met Epstein about fifteen times between 2012 and his 2019 death, claiming ignorance of his criminal activities. She acknowledged knowing about his 2008 conviction for offenses involving minors but believed he deserved a second chance. Her name appeared on Epstein's will, bequeathing her $5 million, which she attributed to his affection for her as a single mother. Lang co-founded an offshore art acquisition company with Epstein in 2016, stating she received no profit and left the company upon his 2019 arrest.
