The 73-year-old will lead the team under a new mandate. Queiroz guided Ghana to the 2026 World Cup, where the team exited in the round of 32 after a defeat to Colombia. His contract expired upon elimination, prompting his resignation, but talks with the association and the Ministry of Sport led to a new agreement. Queiroz will begin his new role during the upcoming international break, starting Ghana's qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
