Businessman Ibrahim Suleymanov arrested in Russia for 2004 murder charges
Ibrahim Suleymanov, a businessman, has been detained in Russia on suspicion of orchestrating murders from 2004 and 1999. He is accused of ordering the killings of a former financial recovery official and a trade union chairman. Suleymanov was arrested at his Moscow home, where searches were conducted. He is reportedly being held in a pre-trial detention center. The investigation also involves two other individuals, with one allegedly dying of a heart attack during his detention. Suleymanov, known as a "shadow billionaire" and related to Platon Lebedev, is a beneficiary of Siren-Travel, a major IT provider for Russian civil aviation. He was previously convicted in 2007 for fraud and money laundering.
