Brandon Flowers, lead singer of The Killers, is questioning whether to continue his music career as he prepares to release his third solo album, Thrasher, on Aug. 21. Flowers told The Times he is contemplating how much longer he wants to perform, noting his father, who has never had money, seems happier than him. The 10-track album, his first solo effort in over a decade, was recorded in Nashville and leans toward a country-western style inspired by his father's music. Flowers plans a fall tour starting Sept. 1 in Phoenix and ending Oct. 6 in Las Vegas.
