Bank Closures for Janmashtami on September 4: Full State List

Banks in several Indian states will remain closed on September 4 for Krishna Janmashtami, according to the Reserve Bank of India's holiday calendar. Online banking services will continue to operate normally. Branches in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand will be shut, affecting cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Noida, Dehradun, Bhopal, Indore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Patna, and Ranchi. Regions where Janmashtami is not an official holiday will have regular banking hours. ATMs and Cash Deposit Machines will remain active for cash withdrawals and deposits. Digital payment systems, including UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm, along with NEFT, RTGS, and Net Banking, will function without interruption.
