Aston Villa in talks to sign Spanish defender Oscar Mingueza from Celta Vigo

Aston Villa is in advanced talks to sign Spanish defender Oscar Mingueza from Celta Vigo. The negotiations are led by Villa's sporting director Monchi. Mingueza, who can play as a center-back or right-back, has 18 months left on his contract. If Villa secures Mingueza, it may lead to a transfer of Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho. Carlos, currently injured, has a contract expiring at the end of next season. Villa has already loaned out Lewis Dobbin and may see Jaden Philogene leave as well. The team is eighth in the Premier League and has advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
