Airlines launch world's shortest flights on large aircraft in 2025

Between February and June 2025, four airlines will operate eight domestic routes using aircraft with over 450 seats. Most flights are in Asia, with Cebu Pacific's A330-900s making up half of the entries. Turkish Airlines will operate the shortest flight, a 205-nautical mile route from Istanbul to Ankara, using a 492-seat Boeing 777-300ER. This flight typically takes 45 to 50 minutes. Cebu Pacific will also run several routes from Manila, including flights to Cebu, Davao, and Hong Kong, using its 459-seat A330-900. Overall, there will be 13% fewer flights compared to last summer.
